Being An Adult - Part 2

When you’re an adult - you can like popular/lame/cheesy shit and not care about what other people think. I’m not concerned with being cool. Counting scenester* points no more!

*Mo said the word “scenester” the other day and we laughed so hard cause it made him sound old** as shit.

**Mo is gonna be old as shit in April. YIKES. I want a divorce! (JK, MOM)

Truth-Bombs:

1. I love Gossip Girl. I Netflix’d that shit so hard that I’m now caught up to current seasons. (Chuck Bass, why are you not in my life for realsies??)

2. When I’m in the car and there’s nothing good on the “Alternative Rock” station, I scan to find Adele. (That’s right. In the car - I listen to the radio. BOOM)

3. Whenever I’m visiting my parents - my dad and I have dance-offs in the kitchen. He likes to move it, move it. Srsly. (Addendum: I love my family! They’re so weird and great. — If my 16 yr old self were to read that last sentence, she would probs die and write an emotional live journal post about it. Fo. Sho.)

4. Today my bff informed me that 2ge+her is reuniting (minus Michael Cuccione aka Jason “QT” McKnight - RIP) to do a charity concert for QT’s real life cancer research foundation I was all “OMG. I want to go to that.” (No but seriously. I would totally go to that.)

5. I watched 3 seasons of Skins - but couldn’t get through 3 episodes of The Wire.

N.E.Wayz.

Being an adult isn’t boring. You can unabashedly like things without being embarrassed. It’s like that point in a relationship when you can fart in front of each other and be cool with it. (And then you thank your lucky stars that you don’t have to go to the bathroom every time you need to…OR try to sneak one out without it being too noticeable - but it is…and you both pretend like it wasn’t…)
